Chopin and Moniuszko’s Musical Suitcase, an interactive music program for children and young adults
Can music be hidden in a suitcase? Can sounds tell stories? And what happens when we open the trunks belonging to two of the greatest masters of Polish Romanticism?
Chopin and Moniuszko’s Mysterious Suitcase is a musical program full of humor, rhythm, and imagination, during which children will discover that music is hidden everywhere—in the murmur of a river, the rustle of leaves, in the pulse of dance, and in the emotions captured in notes.
Each suitcase holds different musical surprises: fragments of scores, songs, national dances, opera scenes, and piano miniatures. With their help, the host transports young listeners into the worlds of Fryderyk Chopin and Stanisław Moniuszko’s music, revealing the differences in their styles, temperaments, and artistic inspirations.
Children aren’t just spectators here—they sing, guess, clap rhythms, learn fragments of Halka, struggle with musical puzzles, and discover the secrets of composers whose sounds have captured the imagination of listeners for over 150 years. This is a lively, engaging journey into the world of classical music, where each suitcase becomes a gateway to a different story.
We invite you to join us in discovering melodies that can change the world—and in having fun that shows us that music begins where we open our ears and hearts.
