The idea of founding Ars Iuvenum chamber ensemble came to life in May of 1988. Since the beginning the artictic director of the ensemble is Grzegorz Puchalski. In 2009, during the 20th anniversary of the band’s creation, Ars Iuvenum gave a ceremonial concert and released a CD and an occasional folder. This year the ensemble celebrates the 30th anniversary of the formation.
In their repertoire the ensemble has many programmes, which constist of music from baroque period to modern classics, to reveal the great richness of the chamber music over many styles. The cast of the ensemble is not fixed, as it depends on the programme; since the beginning the number of members of the different casts of the ensemble reaches sixty musicians playing different orchestral instruments. During the solemn concert that will accompany forthcoming anniversary, Ars Iuvenum will perform an overture for clarinet, piano and string quartet, a sextet, a septet and… a decet.
