“Tribute to Musical” CD containing the greatest musical hits of all time is already on sale.

Almost two years ago we had invited our guests to two incredible concerts entitled “Tribute to Musical,” that took place January 20 and 21, 2017 at Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic. They were really popular. Organised thanks to the initiative of Damian Aleksander, they presented viewers with the most beautiful and most beloved musical hits of all time. The artist invited to cooperation respective queens of their musical genres: Małgorzata Walewska (opera), Kayah (pop), Edyta Krzemień (musical), and Joanna Kołaczkowska (cabaret), as well as a great conductor, arranger and pianist Krzysztof Herdzin, who provided unique, beautiful arrangements and led the Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic Orchestra. The work was completed by the voices of Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic Choir directed by Violetta Bielecka. There was Piotr Matuszczyk on piano, Bartosz Szetela on bass, and Cezary Konrad on percussion. Now we are honoured to share this masterpiece with a wider audience and present to you the live recording of the concert.

There are such hits, as “Aquarius” (“Hair”), “The Phantom of the Opera” (“The Phantom of the Opera”), “Don’t Cry for Me, Argentina” (“Evita”), “Over the Rainbow” (“The Wizard of Oz”), “Money” (“Cabaret”) or “Sunrise, Sunset” (“Fiddler on the Roof”).

Beautifully printed and published, the CD contains a preface by Damian Aleksander, and a foreword by Daniel Wyszogrodzki, an expert on the musical and the author of the monography about musicals “Ale musicale!”.
