Hanna Mocarska

Dancer, choreographer, teacher, dance theorist, director of the Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic Ballet. A graduate of the Olga Sławska-Lipczyńska Secondary Ballet School in Poznań and the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw, Faculty of Dance, specializing in Choreography and Theory of Dance. She started her stage practice in school years in the Great Theatr in Poznań. She took a part in numerous choreographic contests for example, in 3rd International Choreographic Contest for Ballet School Students in Bytom, or in st National Choreographic Competition named after Bronislava Niżyńska in Warsaw.
During her professional career, she was associated with the State Folk Song and Dance Ensemble Mazowsze, where she was employed as a koryphae dancer. She cooperated with Masovian Musical Theatre at the performance of The Csárdás Princess by Imre Kálmán. Currently employed as a ballet artist at the Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic in Białystok, she has preformed in productions such as The Haunted Manor,  The Phantom in the Opera, Carmen, Die Fledermaus, Doctor Zhivago, The Gypsy baron, Jesus Christ Superstar, The Merry Widow, Quo vadis, Broadway Dance Club, Life is a Cabaret, We love Chopin and West Side Story, Pagliacci/Rustic Cavalleria, Vesper, and Cinderella. She was an assistant choreographer on The Jungle Book in direction of Jakub Szydłowski. She co-choreographed the dance and musical productions Broadway Dance Club and Life is a Cabaret at the Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic. She has performed as a dancer and choreographed numerous artistic events at the Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic, including New Year’s Eve Concerts. From 2016 to 2019, she co-created children’s ballet productions: Pictures at an Exhibition,Swan Lake, The Nutcracker and Coppelia. From 2019 to 2022, she choreographed the musicals Fame, Szaleństwa Panny Anny, and Przebudzenie for the Białystok Academy of Music. She is currently a specialist in classical and contemporary dance at the Private School of Dance Art in Białystok and teaches dance at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music, Białystok Branch.
