Concerts, season opening, and an exhibition of paintings by local artists. The Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic welcomes the new 2025/2026 artistic season with an exciting program. The September repertoire includes a charity concert featuring Andrzej Piaseczny, the ceremonial opening of the 71st artistic season, a meeting as part of the Young Melomaniac Academy, and another edition of the Podlasie Dimension of Art project.

On September 9th, a unique charity concert will take place at Odeska Street to support children with muscular dystrophy, organized by the Pro Salute Association in cooperation with the Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic. Andrzej Piaseczny – one of the most recognizable Polish vocalists, who has captivated listeners with his warm voice and stage charisma for 30 years – will perform on the Main Stage of the Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic. During the concert, audiences will hear his greatest hits, and proceeds from the event will be donated to help children struggling with muscular dystrophy. The performance begins at 7:00 PM.

On Friday, September 12th, the Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic Orchestra, under the direction of Maestro Mirosław Jacek Błaszczyk, will inaugurate its 71st artistic season. Audiences will have the opportunity to hear two monumental works: Ludwig van Beethoven’s Symphony No. 3 in E-flat major “Eroica” and Johannes Brahms’s Piano Concerto No. 1 in D minor, performed by the renowned pianist Szymon Nehring. This distinguished artist, one of the most talented and promising pianists of the younger generation, has won awards in numerous international competitions. He is the first Pole in history to win the prestigious Arthur Rubinstein International Piano Competition in Tel Aviv in 2017; he was also a finalist in the 17th International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition, where he received an honorable mention and the Audience Award. His achievements were recognized by the jury of the ICMA Award – one of the most prestigious awards in the world of classical music – by awarding the young pianist a special prize at the International Classical Music Awards 2018. The inaugural concert at the Opera will begin on September 12th at 7:00 PM.

At the end of the month, on September 26th, young music lovers will gather in the Concert Hall of the Music School Complex in Białystok. As part of the Young Melomaniac Academy series, the Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic Orchestra, under the direction of Jacek Hyżny, will present parts from the orchestral suites Arlesiana and Georges Bizet’s opera Carmen. Anna Krzysztofik-Buczyńska and Kinga Pancerz will share their thoughts on the presented music with the young audience. The concert begins at 11:00 AM.

September will conclude with another edition of the Podlasie Dimension of Art project, entitled Close Art – Important Art. On Saturday, September 27, the Exhibition Hall of the Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic will host the opening of an exhibition of works by artists from smaller towns in the region. The artistic diversity of our region will be showcased not only through paintings, but also through prints, drawings, watercolors, and sculptures. Music for the opening will be provided by Joanna Zubrycka, Miss God, vocalist, composer, and music producer. The opening will begin at 4:30 PM, and the project will also include a curatorial tour with the artists, who will discuss their inspirations and roots.
