TOMASZ WITEK / trumpet, flugelhorn
He was born in Stalowa Wola in 1973. From an early age, he attended choral classes and sang in the late Stanisław Steczkowski’s Cantus choir in Stalowa Wola. He began playing the trumpet in the Municipal Wind Orchestra, then attended music school in Stalowa Wola, and later in Rzeszów. In 1998, he graduated from the Białystok Branch of the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music (now the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music). Since 1996, he has taught trumpet at the Music School Complex in Białystok, where he also leads ensembles (big band, small band, fanfare ensemble, trumpet quartets, and other primary and secondary brass groups).

Tomasz Witek has collaborated with numerous music and cultural centers throughout the country. He has participated in numerous artistic projects of varying degrees and styles of musical performance (festivals, competitions, concerts, and has toured Europe and beyond, collaborating with numerous renowned artists and orchestras, both Polish and foreign). Since 2006, he has been a teacher and lecturer at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in the Instrumental and Pedagogical Department in Białystok, where he leads the Big Band. Since 1995, he has been Principal Trumpet of the Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic.
