A graduate of the F. Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw in the singing class of Prof. W. Zalewski (2000). He perfected his vocal skills at the master classes led by Prof. R. Karczykowski and W. Matteuzzi. He made his debut in 1997 at the Warsaw Chamber Opera in the role of Don Magnifico in G. Rossini’s opera La Cenerentola. The artist has collaborated with the Teatr Wielki – National Opera, the Wuppertaler Bühnen, the Grand Theatre in Poznań, the Grand Theatre in Łódź and the Cracow Opera. He has appeared as a guest at the Oper Frankfurt am Main, the Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theatre in Vilnius, the Theater der Stadt Koblenz, the Wiener Kammeroper, the Baltic Opera, and the Wrocław Opera, among others. His leading operatic roles include: Figaro in The Marriage of Figaro, Leporello in Don Giovanni by W. A. Mozart, Dulcamara in The Elixir of Love and the title part in Don Pasquale by G. Donizetti, Death in The Emperor of Atlantis, or the Refusal of Death by V. Ullmann and Caspar in The Marksman by C. M. von Weber. He has also portrayed leading characters in operas by G. Rossini, including Don Bartolo in The Barber of Seville, Macrobio in The Touchstone, Selim in The Turk in Italy and Mustafa in The Italian Girl in Algiers. He has participated in music festivals, such as: the Rossini Opera Festival (Pesaro), the Festival de Musique de Strasbourg, the Belcanto Opera Festival ‘Rossini in Wildbad’ (Schwarzwald), the Euroradia/EBU Summer Festival (Warsaw), the Festival di Musica Sacra ‘Anima Mundi’ (Pisa),the Internationale Maifestspiele (Wiesbaden), the Warsaw Autumn, Wratislavia Cantans, the Bydgoszcz Opera Festival and the A. Didur Festival (Sanok). He has also participated in the premieres of the operas Katzelmacher by K. Schwertsik (Wuppertal, 2003) and Iwona, księżniczka Burgunda by Z. Krauze (Paris, 2004). His artistic work also includes oratorio compositions and his repertoire also includes songs. He has participated in numerous radio and television broadcasts (RAI, Südwestrunkfunk, Polskie Radio, TVP, Polsat). He has made numerous recordings for record companies (Naxos, ROF, Bongiovanni, DUX, Radiowa Agencja Fonograficzna) and the Polish Radio Archive. At the Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic, he has sung the roles of Frank in J. Strauss’s Die Fledermaus and Escamillo in G. Bizet’s Carmen.
