Małgorzata Bil-Jaruzelska

She graduated from the University of Białystok, where she completed her studies at the Faculty of Cultural Pedagogy, specialising in film. She began her professional career as a journalist and columnist at the Białystok branch of Telewizja Polska (Polish Television). In the following years, she served as press spokesperson for the Podlasie Province Governor and deputy director of the Department of Education and Culture at the Podlasie Marshal’s Office, where she was responsible for substantive and financial supervision of cultural institutions founded by the provincial government.
Małgorzata Bil-Jaruzelska has extensive experience in managing cultural institutions. For many years, she was the deputy director of the Aleksander Węgierka Drama Theatre in Białystok and the director of the Bielsk Cultural Centre. She is the co-owner and chairwoman of LUMIERE sp. z o.o., a company involved in cinema operations and the distribution and redistribution of film copies. She currently uses her extensive experience and knowledge in her work for the development of culture in the region.
