A graduate of the Fryderyk Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw, he studied symphonic and opera conducting under Professor R. Dudek. He also studied at the Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory of Music in St. Petersburg, under Professor I. Musin. In 2004, he began his collaboration with the Grand Theatre – National Opera, conducting R. Strauss’s opera Salome. With J. Kaspszyk he participated in the production of works by R. Strauss (Salome), G. Puccini (Tosca, Madam Butterfly, Turandot), P. Tchaikovsky (Eugene Onegin), H. Berlioz (La Damnation de Faust), G. Verdi (Aida, La Traviata, Nabucco, Rigoletto), S. Moniuszko (Halka, The Haunted Manor), A. Berg (Wozzeck), K. Penderecki (Ubu Rex). Commissioned by the Bergen Opera Vest, he prepared the premiere of the opera Salome by R. Strauss in collaboration with the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra. With K. Kord he participated in the preparations of operas by G. Puccini (La Bohème), P. Tchaikovsky (The Queen of Spades), U. Giordano (Andrea Chénier), W.A. Mozart (The Magic Flute, Don Giovanni), G. Rossini (Tancred, The Barber of Seville), G. Bizet (Carmen). With G. Chmura he co-composed, among others, C. Gounod’s Faust and J. Offenbach’s The Tales of Hoffmann. Since 2009, he has been collaborating with T. Kozłowski on the following works: Elektra by R. Strauss, Cinderella by S. Prokofiev, Les Troyens by H. Berlioz, Jakob Lenz by W. Rihm, King Roger by K. Szymanowski, The Nutcracker and the Mouse King by P. Tchaikovsky, Halka by S. Moniuszko. He conducted performances of W. Pawlik’s Via Sancta – To the Holy Father, L. Różycki’s Pan Twardowski, and P. Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake and The Sleeping Beauty at the TW–ON. He has collaborated with many esteemed directors (M. Treliński, K. Warlikowski, M. Weiss-Grzesiński, M. Znaniecki, T. Konina, R. Skolmowski, L. Adamik, W. Decker, A. Freyer, H. Kupfer, M. Otava, C. Padrissa, D. Pountney, R. Wilson). Since 2008, he has collaborated with the Polish Sinfonia Iuventus Orchestra, and since 2009 with the Artelier Foundation. Since 2013, he has been collaborating with the Cracow Opera, conducting performances of A. Lloyd Webber’s The Phantom of the Opera, G. Verdi’s La Traviata, J. Bock’s Fiddler on the Roof, G. Bizet’s Carmen, W.A. Mozart’s The Magic Flute, J. Strauss’s Die Fledermaus, and G. Puccini’s La Bohème. Since 2014, he has been collaborating with the Cracow Opera, conducting V. Ullmann’s opera The Emperor of Atlantis (directed by B. Redo-Dobber) and P. Tchaikovsky’s ballet The Nutcracker (choreographed by E. Wesołowski). Since 2015, he has been collaborating with the Opera Nova in Bydgoszcz, conducting performances of H. Berlioz’s Faust, directed by M. Prus. He maintains an active concert life, also performing symphonic works. He has conducted numerous orchestras and choirs throughout Poland and abroad.
