NICOLA MELITA

He trained at the Heinz Bosl Foundation and the Bavarian State Opera in Munich. Through the years he worked as a balet dancer and soloist in many theaters of Europe among others in Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich and Stadttheater Heidelberg, had practical contact with barely/almost all works from the ballet repertoire. He have a big experience in preparing choreography to dance parts and thanks to many years of work for Kaspar-Hauser-Stiftung also wide therapeutic competence as terapeutic dance teacher. From 1987 to 1989 he was a member of dance enesemble of the Bavarian State Opera in Munich, on the stage of this theatre he successfully performed, among others: Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty, Romeo and Juliet, Giselle, Evgeny Oniegin, opera and operetta ballets and dance projects for the independent scene. For ten years, he performed in performances on Italian and German stages as a soloist at the Theater der Stadt in Heidelberg, and also directed his own dance productions as a choreographer. From 1998 to 1999, he was managing director of the Danza Alqantara ballet school in Taormina, Sicily. As a guest dancer at the Landestheater Detmold, he participated in numerous dance productions in Germany. Since 2013, he has worked as a therapeutic dance educator, particularly in the care and guidance of individuals with mental health problems, managing various groups at the WfbM Kaspar Hauser Foundation in Berlin-Pankow.
