Mieć w miłości kraj ojczysty

Moniuszko’s lesson of patriotism

The year 2019 was named by the Sejm of the Republic of Poland the Year of Stanisław Moniuszko, who was born exactly 200 years ago. His oeuvre impresses with its diversity, melodic richness, and deeply-rooted connection with the Polish music heritage. This evening we will hear great works of patriotic character: String Quartet in F major, Mass in A minor, Latin Mass in E-flat major, and “Ojcze nasz” (Lord’s Prayer).
