What does the Green Island sound like? What’s the difference between an Irish flute and a transverse flute? Can traditional music be combined with electronics? And how does a looper work? The program encourages students to ask questions and actively listen. During the interactive program, students will discover Irish musical culture and be introduced to traditional, distinctive Irish instruments: the Celtic harp, the Irish flute, and the Irish drum. Students will also learn unconventional methods of producing sound, including traditional Irish spoon playing, which will become a starting point for joint rhythmic play. The concert will combine live music, elements of Irish tap dancing, and the use of electronic technology, encouraging children to actively and consciously experience music.
The educational program is intended for two age groups:
– kindergarten – first grade of primary school
– second grade – sixth grade of primary school
