Purchase of equipment for the Recording Studio at the Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic
The project “Purchase of Equipment for the Recording Studio at the Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic” is co-financed by the European Union from the European Regional Development Fund under the Regional Operational Program of the Podlasie Voivodeship for 2007-2013 and from the state budget.
From November to December 2015, the Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic – European Arts Centre in Białystok implemented the project Purchase of Equipment for the Recording Studio at the Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic, co-financed by the European Union under the Regional Operational Program of the Podlasie Voivodeship for 2007-2013, Priority Axis VI. Development of Social Infrastructure, Measure 6.3. Development of Infrastructure in the Field of Culture and Protection of Historical and Cultural Heritage. The aim of the project was to purchase equipment to create a professional Recording Studio at the Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic. The total investment value was PLN 944,478.20, with funding from the European Regional Development Fund totaling PLN 137,700.00 and funding from the state budget totaling PLN 514,988.19.
As a result of the project, the Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic purchased 17 pieces/sets of new, professional devices, such as: ProTools HDX 3 workstation (1 piece), AVID S6 M40-32-9-D controller for the workstation and ProTools HDX 3 software (1 piece), Waves MERCURY plug-in set (1 set), UAD-2 OCTO Ultimate 4 Satellite Thunderbolt plug-in set (1 set), PSP Total Pack plug-in set (1 set), microphones: DPA d:dicate ST2006C Set (2 sets), microphones: DPA d:dicate ST2011C Set (2 sets), microphones: DPA d:dicate ST4011C Set (2 sets), microphones: Neumann KM184 Stereo Set (2 sets), microphones: Schoeps CMC-621 Set (1 set), microphones: Schoeps CMC-641 Set (1 set), preamplifier microphone-instrument amplifier Micstasy from RME Audio AG (1 piece) and microphone preamplifier: Universal Audio Apollo 8 QUAD (1 piece).
The purchase of new equipment contributed to the expansion of the existing technical resources and the creation of a professional recording studio at the Institution. This will allow the Opera to independently record its own operas, musicals, operettas, musical fairy tales, and oratorio and symphonic concerts, which will then be distributed for promotional and educational purposes. Recordings of individual Opera productions will serve both educational purposes – they will be distributed free of charge to schools and preschools in the Podlaskie Voivodeship, which, due to significant distances, have limited access to cultural centers and cannot participate in cultural events organized by the Podlaskie Opera and Philharmonic – and promotional purposes – they will enable the promotion of the Institution’s activities both domestically and internationally, highlighting the value of the Podlaskie Voivodeship as a venue for cultural events of the highest artistic standard.
