Artists of the Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic will take a participate in the performance of Giuseppe Verdi’s Requiem at the Concert Hall of the Podkarpackie Philharmonic in Rzeszów. The concert will take place on Friday, October 24, and this monumental work will also be performed by Symphonic Orchestra of the Podkarpackie Philharmonic and excellent soloists: Ilina Mihaylova (soprano), Ester Pavlu (mezzosoprano), Paolo Lardizzone (tenor) and Corneliu Huțanu (bass). Behind conductors desk will stand David Giménez, the main conductor of the Podkarpackie Philharmonic. He is an artist of international renown who has performed a wide repertoire in the most famous concert halls in the world, such as La Scala, Wiener Staatsoper, Royal Opera House Covent Garden, Théâtre du Champs-Elysées or Sydney Opera House and collaborated with greatest singers such as José Carreras, Plácido Domingo or José Cura.

The Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic Choir conducted by prof. Violetta Bielecka is considered one of the best choirs in Poland. Its repertoire includes concert performances of operas by Georges Bizet, Stanisław Moniuszko, Giacomo Puccini, and Giuseppe Verdi, as well as major works of sacred music from various eras and works by contemporary composers, including Krzysztof Penderecki, Stanisław Moryto, and Paweł Łukaszewski. It performs in Poland and abroad, participating in the most prestigious festivals. Next year, it will celebrate its 20th anniversary.
