The Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic Orchestra and Choir are working on recording another album featuring music by one of the most distinguished contemporary Polish composers, Paweł Łukaszewski. In Symphony No. 7 ‘Te Deum Polonia’ for bass, mixed choir and orchestra, the solo part will be performed by world-renowned soloist Wojciech Gierlach. Maestro Mirosław Jacek Błaszczyk will conduct. The Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic Choir was prepared by Professor Violetta Bielecka.

The Symphony No. 7 is a monumental hymn of thanksgiving. The composition was composed in 2018 to commemorate the centenary of Poland regaining independence and its premiere took place at the Teatr Wielki – National Opera in Warsaw. The album, currently being produced by DUX Recording Producers, will be the latest album featuring Paweł Łukaszewski’s music recorded with the participation of Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic artists. Our collaboration with the composer has already resulted in eight albums, some of which have won prestigious awards (Fryderyk Awards, the FENIKS Award, and the Golden Diploma in the Musical Eagles Competition).

We are delighted that the artists of the Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic have once again been invited to collaborate with Professor Paweł Łukaszewski. This is a great honor for us, especially since his work has gained recognition over the years among music lovers and the music community – says Professor Violetta Bielecka, Director of the Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic and Director of the Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic Choir. – The 7th Symphony ‘Te Deum Polonia’ is incredibly profound and although it requires immense sensitivity, and precision in performance, working on these recordings is a great artistic pleasure for us.

In August 2026, the artists of the Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic will record another album of Professor Paweł Łukaszewski’s music – the 5th Symphony Concertante.
