Luigi Scoglio has passed away
Luigi Scoglio, an outstanding Italian set designer with an international portfolio and a visionary of the contemporary stage, has passed away. He was 52 years old.
For the Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic, he designed the sets for such performances as: The Merry Widow by F. Lehár, Via Crucis by P. Łukaszewski / Cavalleria rusticana by P. Mascagni, Pagliacci by R. Leoncavallo / Cavalleria rusticana by P. Mascagni, and Vesper by G. Guthman.
He treated light as the foundation of the stage image, and his works became synonymous with a well-thought-out and perfect stage space.
We bid farewell to the artist with great regret, paying tribute to his memory.
