Krzysztof Herdzin wins the Jazz Forum plebiscite
Krzysztof Herdzin won a triple victory in the prestigious Jazz Forum readers’ poll, winning the titles of best composer, pianist and arranger.
The awards granted by the readers of this opinion-forming magazine confirm the versatility and artistic class of the creator, who moves with equal freedom in the world of jazz and symphonic forms.
Krzysztof Herdzin is the artist who, together with Piotr Nazaruk, composed the music for the oratorio Forefathers’ Eve Night (based on Part II of Adam Mickiewicz’s Forefathers’ Eve). The premiere of the concert version of this exceptional work took place in May 2025 on the Main Stage of the Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic, generating enormous interest from both the audience and the music community. Last November, the project was presented in a staged version, featuring artists from the Wierszalin Theatre, and was one of the most important events in the Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic’s repertoire in 2025.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to the composer and wish him continued success!
