Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic Choir at the Krzysztof Penderecki Festival
Krzysztof Penderecki Festival, on the occasion of the 85th anniversary of the composer’s birth, is an event bringing together the crème de la crème of artistic circles of all over the world, and Polish Radio Program 2 is going to broadcast the festival’s concerts. Invited to participate was every major Polish ensemble, and the Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic Choir was honoured to be one of those, alongside such groups, as National Philharmonic Symphonic Orchestra, Katowice Polish Radio National Symphonic Orchestra, Sinfonia Varsovia, Sinfonia Iuventus, Polish Radio Orchestra, Sinfonietta Cracovia, National Philharmonic Choir, Grand Theatre—National Opera Choir, Kraków Philharmonic Choir, Polish Chamber Choir, Warsaw Boys’ Choir. The ensembles will be led by worldwide-known conductors: Jerzy Maksymiuk, Christoph Eschenbach, Leonard Slatkin, Alexander Liebreich, Lawrence Foster, Jacek Kaspszyk, Rafael Payare, Tadeusz Strugała, John Axelrod, and Sergey Smbatyan.
Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic Choir is going to perform on Tuesday, November 20, at 19:30. At the same time the broadcast will start on Polish Radio Program 2.
