Soloist of the Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic. He collaborates with Poland’s most important opera houses, including the Grand Theatre National Opera in Warsaw, where he has performed in E.W. Korngold’s Dead City (Frank/Pierrot), G. Puccini’s Madame Butterfly (Sharpless), K. Szymanowski’s King Roger (Edrisi), and S. Moniuszko’s Halka (his debut as Janusz), directed by M. Treliński. He has been a soloist at the Baltic Opera in Gdańsk for many years, appearing in numerous productions directed by Marek Weiss (Grzesiński), including G. Bizet’s Carmen (Escamillo), P. Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin (Onegin), E. Sikora’s Madame Curie (Langevin), G. Verdi’s Otello (Iago), and W.A. Mozart’s Così fan tutte (Guglielmo). He has also appeared at the Gdańsk Opera in D. Shostakovich’s Gamblers, directed by Andrzej Chyra, and K. Penderecki’s Ubu Rex, directed by J. Wiśniewski.
He made a success debut in Wrocław Opera in the title role in Eugene Onegin brought him engagements in subsequent productions. Tomasz Rak preformed, amon others, in The Pearl Fishers by G. Bizet (Zurg), G. Rossini’s The Barber of Seville (Figaro), Cinderella by G. Rossini (Dandini), as well as Escamillo in opera show Carmen performed at the Silesian Stadium in Wrocław for an audience of 25,000. The artist collaborates also with the Great Theatre in Łódź, where he created the roles: Figaro in G. Rossini’s The Barber of Seville, Eisenstein in The Bat by J. Strauss and Maksimilian in Candide by L. Bernstein. At the Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic he performer as far in La Boheme by G. Puccini (Marcello), J. Strauss’ The Bat (Eisenstein), The Merry Widow by F. Lehár (Daniło) and Via Crucis/Cavalleria rusticana by P. Łukaszewski / P. Mascagni (Alfio).
