Tenor. A graduate of the Fryderyk Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw, he made his debut in V. Bellini’s Norma at the Teatr Wielki – National Opera, where he was a soloist for many years. Among his notable roles is Samson in C. Saint-Saëns’s Samson and Delilah at the Wrocław Opera, where he successfully partnered the distinguished singer Ewa Podleś. He also appeared as Macduff in G. Verdi’s Macbeth alongside Renato Bruson. On opera stages across Europe, he has performed the roles of Nemorino (The Elixir of Love) and Edgar (Lucia di Lammermoor) in operas by G. Donizetti, as well as the Duke of Mantua in G. Verdi’s Rigoletto. His signature role is the title role of Faust from C. Gounod’s opera, which he premiered at the Baltic Opera in Gdańsk.
At the Teatr Wielki – National Opera, he appeared as Elijah in the world premiere of E. Knapik’s opera Moby-Dick and as Pang in G. Puccini’s Turandot. He also excels in operetta, receiving a Golden Mask nomination for his role as Baron Zupan in I. Kalman’s operetta at the Bydgoszcz Opera Nova. In recent opera productions, he has appeared as Remendado in G. Bizet’s Carmen at the Teatr Wielki – National Opera and Edrisi in K. Szymanowski’s King Roger at the Castle Opera in Szczecin, as well as Alexander Zhivago in the musical Doctor Zhivago composed by L. Simon. In July of this year, he appeared in R. Strauss’s Salome at the Baltic Opera Festival, playing the role of the Judean. He collaborates with numerous opera houses.
