Poland unites in grief over the death of former Prime Minister Jan Olszewski. Performances at Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic will be held according to the schedule, each of them preceded by a minute of silence.

Jan Olszewski passed away February 7, 2019 lutego at 88 years old. He was the Prime Minister through 1991–1992, a defender of oposition in the processes of Polish People’s Republic times, an adviser of the President Lech Kaczyński, a Knight of the Order of the White Eagle. The governments marked national days of mourning after his death from midnight Thursday/Friday to 19:00 at Saturday.

Performances of “Doctor Zhivago” will be held according to the schedule, each of them preceded by a minute of silence in memoriam of the late Olszewski.
