The performance will be broadcast live from the Metropolitan Opera stage to cinemas around the world on 2 May 2026. Baritone Igor Golovatenko will once again play the elegant but emotionally
distant Onegin, who realises his true feelings too late. In this moving production directed by Tony Award winner Deborah Warner, ‘we get a beautifully crafted interpretation of Tchaikovsky’s lyrical romance’ (The Telegraph).
